Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined) Feel free to swap for chicken if preferred
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced) Fresh garlic recommended for best flavor
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or olive oil for a healthier option)
  • 1 cup heavy cream Try coconut milk for a lighter version
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Parmesan enhances creaminess, but any cheese will do
  • Salt and pepper To taste
  • Chopped parsley For garnish and a pop of color

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Cooking
  1. Toss the shrimp into the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese gradually until it melts into a rich, creamy sauce.
  3. Taste and adjust salt and pepper as needed, adding a splash of pasta cooking water or chicken broth if you prefer a thinner sauce.
Serving
  1. Once everything is combined and cooked through, remove from heat and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two days. Reheat gently on the stove over low heat, adding broth or cream if the sauce thickens.
