Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 8 oz penne pasta (or your favorite pasta shape)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced ribeye beef (or flank steak)
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced (any color you prefer)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cups shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish Feel free to swap spinach with kale for a stronger flavor, or use a different cheese based on your preference.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by boiling a large pot of salted water and cooking the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers, cooking until they are tender and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Increase the heat to medium-high and add the sliced beef to the skillet. Season with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Lower the heat, then add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together gently.
  5. Sprinkle the cheese on top, cover the skillet, and let it sit for a few minutes until the cheese has melted and is oozy.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Consider using whole-grain pasta or adding more vegetables for a nutritious boost. This meal pairs well with a simple side salad or garlic bread. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
