Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 package Oreo cookies (regular or double stuff; you can even use pumpkin spice-flavored ones for a twist)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened; this can be replaced with a vegan alternative if desired) Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature.
  • 1 cup pumpkin puree (make sure it’s pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips (or you can use milk chocolate for a richer treat) Use high-quality chocolate for the best coating.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • to taste Pumpkin pie spice (optional; use this for an extra flavor kick)

Method

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreos: Using a food processor, blend the Oreo cookies until they reach fine crumbs. If you don’t have a food processor, place them in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. Mix with Cream Cheese: In a large mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese. Use your hands or a spatula to blend until well combined.
  3. Add Pumpkin and Spices: Fold in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is integrated, then taste and add a pinch of pumpkin pie spice if desired.
  4. Shape the Balls: With clean hands, form the mixture into small balls, roughly the size of a tablespoon. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Chill: Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours, allowing the mixture to firm up.
  6. Melt the Chocolate: While the balls are chilling, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  7. Coat the Balls: Using a fork, dip each chilled ball into the melted chocolate, allowing the excess to drip off. Return to the parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Set: Let the chocolate set at room temperature or place the tray back in the fridge for about 15 minutes.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Once set, serve your Pumpkin Oreo Balls as a delightful treat for any occasion!

Notes

These Pumpkin Oreo Balls can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for up to a month. Experiment with toppings like sprinkles, crushed nuts, or shredded coconut for added texture.
