Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup for a bit of sweetness; can swap with agave syrup for vegan option
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder toasted for extra flavor
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut the salmon fillet into bite-sized cubes, about 1-inch pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Add the salmon cubes to the bowl, gently tossing them in the marinade until all are well coated. Allow them to marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the marinated salmon bites in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
  3. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  4. Remove from the air fryer and serve warm, garnished with chopped herbs.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider toasting garlic powder before adding it to the marinade. Ensure salmon is fully dry before marinating for better flavor adherence.
