For the Topping
  • 1 cup rolled oats Use gluten-free if necessary
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Whole wheat can be a nice substitution
  • 0.5 cups unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract For that extra layer of flavor
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar Remaining sugar for topping
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon For topping

Method

  2. Serve warm, ideally with a scoop of vanilla ice cream melting on top.

Notes

Add nuts or a mix of fruits for customization. Replace sugar with honey or maple syrup for healthier options. Serve in ramekins or a large dish, topped with ice cream or whipped cream.
