Ingredients

Noodles and Beef
  • 8 oz ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
  • 1 lb flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain For best tenderness, slice against the grain.
Vegetables
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Spinach or kale can be swapped for a stronger flavor.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
Broth and Seasoning
  • 4 cups beef broth Quality broth enhances flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil Plus more for cooking.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Garnish
  • Green onions for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking the Noodles
  1. Begin by cooking the ramen noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside when done.
Sautéing the Beef
  1. In a pot over medium-high heat, add a splash of sesame oil. Once hot, add the sliced flank steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef and set aside.
Stir-Frying the Broccoli
  1. In the same pot, add a bit more sesame oil along with the minced garlic and ginger. Stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant, then add the broccoli florets. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until they become vibrant and tender-crisp.
Making the Broth
  1. Pour in the beef broth, soy sauce, and oyster sauce, and bring to a gentle boil. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to deepen the flavors.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Return the cooked beef to the pot and stir in the cooked ramen noodles. Let everything heat through for another 2-3 minutes.
Serving
  1. Ladle the Beef and Broccoli Ramen into bowls, garnish with green onions, and enjoy the heartwarming experience.
