Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and no longer pink, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks.
- Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and mix well, allowing it to cook for about a minute.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until combined and season lightly with salt.
- Spray a 9×13 inch baking dish with cooking spray or lightly grease it. Break apart the biscuits and layer them in the dish.
- Pour the sausage gravy mixture evenly over the biscuits, followed by the whisked eggs.
- If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top for that gooey finish.
Baking
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the top is golden.
Notes
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, pop it in the microwave or oven until warmed through. Freeze individual servings wrapped tightly for later use.
