Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs for extra juiciness)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (freshly grated for best flavor)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper to enhance the flavor.
  2. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and let it warm until shimmering.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate to keep warm.
Making the Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn.
  2. Pour in heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom for added flavor.
  3. Stir in Parmesan cheese, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Let it bubble and thicken for about 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Return the chicken to the skillet, coating it with the creamy sauce, and let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil before serving for a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

For added nutrition and flavor, consider adding sautéed vegetables such as spinach or bell peppers into the sauce. Substitute heavy cream with a mix of Greek yogurt and a splash of chicken broth for a lighter version.
