Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
- Mix in the taco seasoning with ¼ cup of water; stir well and let simmer for a few minutes.
- Add refried beans to the skillet and combine everything thoroughly.
- Take a tortilla, spread a spoonful of the beef and bean mixture across the center, and sprinkle cheese over it.
- Fold the sides in, then roll from the bottom to create a stick. Repeat with remaining tortillas.
Baking
- Place the sticks seam side down on a greased baking sheet.
- Lightly spray the tops with cooking spray; this will help them reach a golden perfection.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are lightly crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Store leftover Cheesy Taco Sticks in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. For a crispy texture when reheating, bake them at 375°F (190°C) for about 10 minutes.
