Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy and light, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then pour in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the butter-sugar mix, blending just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
Baking
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough on ungreased baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are soft.
- Let cookies rest on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze in a single layer and transfer to a freezer-safe bag. Reheat gently at 300°F (150°C) for a few minutes.
