Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- One at a time, mix in the eggs, ensuring each one is well incorporated.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop or your hands, portion out the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving about two inches between each scoop.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are lightly golden but the centers appear soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring them to wire racks.
Notes
