Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the twisted pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Steak Bites
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Season the steak pieces with smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Add the steak to the skillet in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned. Cook in batches if necessary.
Making the Garlic Butter Sauce
- Once the steak is cooked to your liking, reduce the heat to medium, and add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
- Stir constantly for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and beginning to brown.
Mixing the Sauce
- In a separate saucepan, combine the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Cajun seasoning. Stir over medium heat until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
- Add the cooked pasta to the Cajun Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat well.
- If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of the pasta cooking water until you reach your desired consistency.
Serving
- Spoon the spicy Cajun Alfredo pasta onto plates, topping with the steak bites and drizzling over any remaining garlic butter sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley for that lovely pop of color.
Notes
Feel free to swap out heavy cream for a lighter option like half-and-half or use gluten-free pasta for a healthier take on this dish. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently on the stovetop.
