Method
Preparation of the Meat
- In a slow cooker, place the beef roast and add the beef broth and onion soup mix.
- If you’re pressed for time, you can cook it in the oven at 350°F for about 90 minutes, covered.
Cooking
- Allow the beef to cook on low for 8 hours or until tender.
Shredding the Beef
- Once cooked, remove the meat from the broth and shred it with two forks.
- Return it to the slow cooker, keeping it warm in the flavorful juices.
Assembling the Sliders
- Slice the slider buns in half.
- Lay each half on a baking sheet, add a generous portion of shredded beef on the bottom half, and cover with a slice of provolone cheese.
Baking
- Place the top half of the buns back on and bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for about 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and the buns are lightly toasted.
Serving
- Serve immediately with a small bowl of the cooking broth for dipping.
Notes
These sliders are best enjoyed straight from the oven and can be paired with crispy fries, a fresh salad, or warm soup. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days, and reheat in the oven.
