Method
Cooking the Pasta
- Begin by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
Sautéing the Garlic
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic, cooking until fragrant—about 1 minute.
Browning the Beef
- Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Break it apart with a spatula, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until browned and fully cooked through.
Combining Ingredients
- Lower the heat and add the drained pasta into the skillet with the beef. Toss together, adding a splash of reserved pasta water to create a silky sauce.
Finishing with Cheese
- Mix in the grated Parmesan cheese, allowing it to melt and coat the pasta evenly. Taste and add more salt or pepper if needed.
Serving
- Plate the pasta, garnishing with fresh herbs and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for an extra kick.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can freeze the pasta for longer storage; last up to 3 months. Reheat on low heat on the stovetop or microwave.
