Ingredients

Pasta Ingredients
  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice (spaghetti or fettuccine) Feel free to swap the pasta type or use whole grain for a healthier option.
Sauce Ingredients
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced For that extra kick.
  • 1 cup heavy cream For creaminess.
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese The star ingredient!
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest.
Cooking
  1. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant—be careful not to let it brown.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring it to a gentle simmer, letting it bubble lightly for a minute.
  3. Remove the pot from heat and stir in the grated parmesan cheese until melted and creamy. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
  4. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce, coating it well. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Plate the pasta and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the pasta cool completely in an airtight container. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to three days. When reheating, add a splash of cream or reserved pasta water to maintain its creamy texture.
