Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb Tender steak (sirloin or filet mignon) Feel free to use any cut you prefer.
  • 1 lb Baby potatoes You can use any type of potatoes, sweet potatoes suggested.
  • 4 cloves Fresh garlic Minced for best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Butter For cooking the steak and adding flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Fresh herbs (parsley or thyme) Chopped, for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the baby potatoes thoroughly, then cut them in half and place them in a pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 10-15 minutes.
Cooking the Steak
  1. While the potatoes are cooking, season your steak with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat until bubbly.
  2. Add the steak bites, cooking them for about 3-4 minutes on each side until nicely browned.
Combining the Ingredients
  1. Once the steak is seared, toss in minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  2. Drain the cooked potatoes and add them directly to the pan with the steak and garlic. Gently toss everything together to coat the potatoes with garlic butter.
  3. Sprinkle with fresh herbs and give it a final mix before serving.

Notes

For a lighter option, consider roasting the potatoes instead of boiling them. Don't overcrowd the pan when searing the steak for the best results.
