  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil Adds a rich, nutty flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Low sodium soy sauce Keeps the dish savory without excessive salt.
  • 2 tbsp Honey Can be replaced with maple syrup for a vegan option.
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced Fresh garlic is recommended for better flavor.
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated Or use minced ginger.
  • 2 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds Essential for crunch and flavor.
  • 2 each Green onions, sliced For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, and grated ginger until well combined.
  3. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle a little sesame oil and heat until hot.
  2. Add the marinated chicken and remaining marinade into the skillet.
  3. Cook the chicken for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Just before serving, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds over the chicken.
  5. Plate the chicken hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, warm in a skillet over medium heat, adding a splash of water or soy sauce. Can freeze for up to three months.
