  • 2 cups pasta (such as penne or fusilli) Choose your favorite variety.
  • 1 lb sausage Sweet or spicy based on your preference.
  • 1 medium onion, diced Adds sweetness and depth.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced For aromatic kick.
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce Use your favorite brand or homemade.
  • 2 tbsp honey Adds a rich layer of flavor.
  • 2 cups chicken broth For cooking pasta and adding depth.
  • 1 cup cheese (shredded cheddar or mozzarella) To melt on top.
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

  1. In a large pot, boil water and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add a touch of oil over medium heat. Cook the sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Stir in the diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
  4. Pour in the BBQ sauce and honey, stirring until combined. Let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. Add the cooked pasta and chicken broth to the pot, stirring everything together.
  6. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 5 minutes, letting the flavors meld beautifully.
  7. Stir in the cheese until melted and creamy. Garnish with fresh parsley.
  8. Scoop generous portions into bowls and enjoy the rich flavors and comforting textures.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge. For longer storage, freeze it in individual portions. Reheat gently with a splash of chicken broth.
