Method
Preparation
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and a pinch of salt to create the marinade.
- Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they’re well coated. Allow them to marinate for 15-30 minutes if time allows.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Carefully place the marinated salmon fillets, skin-side down, in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes.
- Pour the remaining marinade over the fillets and gently flip them after 5 minutes. Cook for another 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon easily flakes with a fork.
Serving
- Once cooked, transfer the salmon to a plate and drizzle with extra sauce if desired. Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
For variations, consider adding favorite vegetables while cooking, or use maple syrup instead of honey for a different flavor. This dish pairs well with jasmine rice, quinoa salad, or roasted vegetables.
