Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound fresh salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces Skinless salmon can be used for a cleaner presentation.
  • 3 tablespoons honey Real honey preferred; maple syrup can be used as a vegan substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Low-sodium soy sauce is a healthier option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adds a fragrant kick to the dish.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Balances the richness of the salmon.
  • to taste salt and pepper Enhances overall flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently toss the salmon pieces in the mixture and let them marinate for about 10 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Ensure the oil is hot enough to give the salmon a nice sear.
  2. Place the marinated salmon bites in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  3. The glaze should caramelize beautifully, resulting in irresistible bites.
Serving
  1. Transfer the salmon bites to a serving plate and drizzle with any remaining glaze from the skillet for extra flavor.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat to avoid overcooking.
