For the Salmon
  • 4-6 ounces Salmon fillets (skin-on) Use fresh salmon for best results.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil For drizzling.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice Juice from one lemon.
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves (minced) Essential for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano Alternatively, use fresh herbs.
  • to taste Salt and freshly ground black pepper Adjust according to preference.
  • optional Fresh herbs (parsley or dill) For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Line a baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it with olive oil.
  3. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the dish. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice, then sprinkle with minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Roast the salmon in the oven for about 15-20 minutes until opaque and flaky.
  2. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes.
  3. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve warm.

Notes

Store leftovers wrapped tightly in plastic wrap or in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes. Don't overcook the salmon; aim for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
