Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 8 cups popped popcorn, lightly salted Use air-popped or stovetop method.
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips Dark chocolate can be used as a variation.
  • 1/2 cup red candy melts Strawberry or raspberry flavored.
  • 1/2 cup blue candy melts Blue raspberry works well.
  • 1 cup sprinkles (red, white, and blue)
  • 10-12 sticks popsicle or lollipop sticks

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pop the popcorn using your preferred method and sift out un-popped kernels.
  2. Melt the white chocolate and candy melts in separate microwave-safe bowls according to package instructions.
  3. Pour the melted chocolate over the popcorn in a large bowl and gently fold to coat.
  4. Divide popcorn into three equal parts, mixing one part with red candy melts, one with blue candy melts, and leaving one plain.
  5. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and mold small handfuls of coated popcorn into balls, inserting a popsicle stick into each.
  6. While still warm and sticky, sprinkle festive sprinkles on each pop.
  7. Chill the decorated pops in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
  8. Serve the pops beautifully on a platter.

Notes

Store leftover pops in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Uncoated popcorn can be frozen for later use.
