Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices. Whisk until well blended.
- In a separate large bowl, mix pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and eggs until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and bake for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting
- While the bread cools, prepare the frosting by beating softened cream cheese and butter until creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar until the desired sweetness and consistency are reached.
- Once the bread is cooled, spread the frosting generously on top and enjoy!
Notes
Store leftovers wrapped in plastic or in an airtight container for 2-3 days at room temperature or up to a week in the refrigerator. You can freeze the bread for later enjoyment.
