  • 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (or fresh garlic for a bolder flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin a lovely addition for warmth

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, combine the soaked red lentils, water, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and cumin. Blend until smooth, achieving a thick batter consistency.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly onto the parchment paper to create a thin layer, about 1/8 inch thick.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Remove from the oven, cut into desired cracker shapes, and return to bake for an additional 5 minutes for extra crunch.
  3. Let cool before enjoying, as the texture will be pleasantly crispy.

Notes

These crackers can be made ahead of time and stored in an airtight container. They can also be frozen for longer freshness and reheated in the oven to regain crunch. Experiment with flavors and spices as desired!
