Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. After rinsing the garlic scapes, trim the tough ends to ensure a tender bite.
  3. In a mixing bowl, toss the garlic scapes with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Spread the scapes on a baking sheet in a single layer to promote even cooking.
Cooking
  1. Roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or until they are tender and slightly caramelized.
  2. Serve warm, optionally drizzling some grated Parmesan cheese or lemon juice over the dish for added taste.

Notes

Monitor your oven while the scapes roast; every oven is different, and you don't want them to burn. Experiment with flavors by adding spices like paprika or red pepper flakes for a kick! Leftover roasted scapes can be used in sandwiches or omelets.
