Ingredients

For the filling
  • 1 pack Dumpling wrappers Store-bought or homemade
  • 1 lb Ground meat (chicken, pork, or beef) Choose your favorite protein
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, minced Fresh for best flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 cup Chopped vegetables (green onions, cabbage) Can substitute with spinach or kale
For assembly
  • 8 pieces Taco shells Soft or crunchy as preferred
  • 1 cup Toppings (sour cream, salsa, avocado) Customize as desired

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the ground meat with finely chopped vegetables, minced ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  2. Take a dumpling wrapper, add a spoonful of filling in the center, wet the edges with water, and fold over to seal. Press the edges securely.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil. Place the dumplings in the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.
  2. If using crunchy taco shells, follow the package instructions to heat them. For soft ones, warm them on a separate skillet shortly before serving.
Assembly
  1. Once the dumplings are cooked, carefully smash each one with a spatula to create a flat, crispy surface. Place the smashed dumplings inside the taco shells.
  2. Add your favorite toppings—dollops of sour cream, salsa, and sliced avocado make for a colorful and fresh platter.

Notes

Feel free to modify the filling and toppings to suit your taste. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For reheating, use a skillet or air fryer to regain crispiness.
