Method
Preparation
- In a bowl, combine the ground meat with finely chopped vegetables, minced ginger, garlic, and soy sauce. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
- Take a dumpling wrapper, add a spoonful of filling in the center, wet the edges with water, and fold over to seal. Press the edges securely.
Cooking
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a drizzle of oil. Place the dumplings in the skillet, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown on the bottom.
- If using crunchy taco shells, follow the package instructions to heat them. For soft ones, warm them on a separate skillet shortly before serving.
Assembly
- Once the dumplings are cooked, carefully smash each one with a spatula to create a flat, crispy surface. Place the smashed dumplings inside the taco shells.
- Add your favorite toppings—dollops of sour cream, salsa, and sliced avocado make for a colorful and fresh platter.
Notes
Feel free to modify the filling and toppings to suit your taste. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. For reheating, use a skillet or air fryer to regain crispiness.
